National Standard Examinations (NSE) – The national Olympiad programme follows the five stages for the examination. To participate in the international Olympiads in 2020 students should go through the successive stages of the programme and must enrol for the NSEs in the respective subjects will be held in 2020. Candidate can check their result after the successful examination, the examination process is now over. National Standard Examination (NSE) 2020-21
National Standard Examinations (NSE) for the first stage examination has been over now. Candidates who skip qualifying the first stage NSEs may be allowed, on written request, to the respective National Coordinator, to directly appear for the second stage Indian National Olympiad examination, provided their other eligibility criteria such as age, pre-college status, etc. Candidates can check all the dates below the table:

ELIGIBILITY FOR NSE/AND SUBSEQUENT STAGES
Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry and Physics:
1. Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.
- As per the orders of the Madras High Court, OCI students will NOT be eligible for selection to the Indian team in the International Olympiads (INO). However, such students are provisionally eligible for selection at all prior stages, up to and including the OCSC for stage III, provided they fulfill all other criteria. They are also provisionally eligible to write the selection tests at the OCSC. This policy is subject to revision without prior notice depending on any further orders issued by the courts, or by a competent government authority.
2. Date of birth between 1 July 2001 and 30 June 2006, both days inclusive.
3. Candidate must be residing and studying in India since 30 November 2016 or earlier. OR must be studying in an Indian school system since 30 November 2016 or earlier.
4. Must not have completed (or scheduled to complete) class 12 board examination earlier than 30 November 2018.
5. Candidate must not have commenced (or planning to commence) studies in a university or equivalent institution by 1 June, 2019.
6. Candidate must not be appearing in NSEJS 2018.
Junior Science:
1. Must be eligible to hold an Indian passport.

5. Must not be appearing in any of NSEA, NSEB, NSEC or NSEP 2020.
Note: It is the student’s responsibility to determine if he/she satisfies the eligibility norms. If at some later stage it is found that the student does not meet the eligibility norms, he/she may face disqualification from the programme.
Admit card
Candidate can download the admit after the successful completion of the examination. Admit card will be available on the official website and from this page. Eligible candidates can download the admit card for the examination. Candidate should take the admit card with them in the day of examination. All students registered from states other than the state of their School are required to send the scanned copy of the NSE admit card, and the school ID by email to [email protected] on or before as per schedule; else they will be disqualified.
ENROLLMENT FOR NSE
Enrolment at student’s own school/college :A student can enrol for NSE at his/her own institution if it is a registered NSE centre (see below for registration of NSE centres). The principal would be the contact person for this purpose.
Enrolment at a different school/college: If a student’s own institution is not a registered NSE centre, it is still possible to participate in NSE by registering at a nearby centre. The list of registration centres will be available on the IAPT website: www.iapt.org.in by 2 September 2018.
Enrolment fees: Rs. 150/- per student per subject to be paid to the centre in-charge of the NSE registration centre.

NSE centre registration: Any state recognised school/college is eligible to become an NSE centre with a minimum enrolment of 20 students, subject to approval by Chief Coordinator, IAPT Examinations. Online NSE centre registration on the IAPT website will be between 1 and 31 August 2018.
Result
Tentative scores of all candidates appearing for NSE is announced on IAPT website around 25th December. Final result for NSE is announced on IAPT website on 1st January of the following year. Eligible candidates can download the result and take print out of the result for the further use.
