as possible.

Write your name and index number, in that order, in the top right-hand corner of the

front surface of the paper.

Except where the question asks for a particular medium to be used, candidates are recommended

to

consider their choice of media and processes and are reminded that the foUowing are permissible:

coloured inks, poster and water-colour, stencil, wax resist, collage or printing from lino, potato,

vegetable or fruit or the use of any material such as hardboard or string which will give an

interesting texture.

Attempt any one question stating its number

Question 1

Design the front cover of a book on Indian Trees. Incorporate the words ‘Great Indian Trees’ and the name of the author in your design. Every attempt should be made to work in the paint medium only.

Question 2

Make an interlocking repeat pattern for a carpet to be used in a big hall. The motif can be geometrical or floral in nature. Use red, blue and one other colour of your choice.

Question 3

Design an inside page for a book of English poetry. Choose the first two lines of your favorite poem and put them down in a good calligraphic style. Draw a suitable filustration to go with the selected lines.

Question 4

Design an emblem for an NGO involved in spreading awareness about saving the tiger. Work in a circular format with an 8″ diameter or within a square measuring 7″ x 7″. The slogan ‘SAVE THE STRIPE’ should be incorporated in the design. Use yellow ochre and one other colour.
