IJSO 2020 Result
The competition is divided into three tasks, prepared by the SC and conducted over three days with an interval of at least one day between each task. The time allotted to each task should normally be three to four hours. The OC decides the sequence of the competition days. Check the schedule of related events from the table below.

How is IJSO 2020 Result calculated?
The marking of the Tests are conducted by the Scientific Committee and may be revised following discussions with the Team Leaders during moderation.
The maximum points allocated to the tasks are:
- Test One: 30 points
- Test Two: 30 points
- Test Three: 40 points
Test One and Test Two are marked individually. In Test One the correct answer will be marked 1, the wrong answer will get penalty 0.25 points, and zero marks for not answering. Each member of the team for Test Three will be awarded the same points.
How to Check IJSO 2020 Result?
The medals won by all the participating delegations can be checked on the official website of IJSO. This information is made available after the result has been declared during the closing ceremony of the event. The procedure to check IJSO 2020 Result online is given below.
Step 1: The candidates have to open the official website of IJSO. A link for the same is also provided on this page.
Step 2: In the menu-bar on the top, there will be a “results” or “past results” section. Click on that.
Step 3: A new page will open. Click on the link under IJSO 2020 Result to open the result pdf.
Step 4: The result sheet contains the number of gold, silver and bronze medals won by each participating country. The candidates can also take a print-out of the result pdf.
Calculation of Awards
Medals are allocated on the basis of individual total points. The points allocated to the individual test one and two are added to the points allocated to team test three. A number of individual as well as team winners are decided as described below.
Best theoretical winner: The student with highest score in MCQ+theoretical test.
Best team: The team with highest score in practical test.
Country Winner: All 6 individuals’ scores are added. In case of a tie, gold medals are allocated 3 points, silver medals 2 points and bronze medal 1 point. If tie still persists, only gold and silver medals are taken into consideration. In case of further tie, only gold medals are considered.
Overall Winner: It is awarded to student with the highest overall points.
Medals will be awarded as follows:

Gold | top 10% of all students | 1st highest point of team |
Silver | next 20% of all students | 2nd highest point of team |
Bronze | next 30% of all students | 3rd highest point of team |
Certificates of Participation are awarded to all the participating students, irrespective of the fact whether they have won any medal or not.
