Central Board of Secondary Education will conducting the Sanskrit paper for class 10 students for their board exam 2020 on Saturday, March 7. Well, Sanskrit is a bit of tricky subject. You have to understand the logic of a lot of concepts and topics in order to score well. This is where, preparing from sample papers helps students. The maximum marks of the Sanskit Examination is 80 and the other 20 are marked through Internal Assessments. The duration of the Sanskrit examination is 3 hours. The examination starts at 10:30 am sharp to 1:30 pm. Although the question papers will be handed over to the students at sharp 10:15 am. The CBSE Class 10 Sanskrit Sample Paper 2020 is divided into 4 different sections and the marking scheme of all them are different.

CBSE Class 10 Sanskrit Sample Paper 2020

Now, first thing first before preparing for the any sort of examination, one needs to be completely aware about the prescribed syllabus of the examination. Well, Sanskrit is a subject levelled with Science/ Maths. You need to be careful with a lot of things like spellings, correct use of descriptions and a very careful reading. The usage of sample papers really help here. Once you are aware about the syllabus, we advise you to start attempting the CBSE Class 10 Sanskrit Sample Paper 2020 to make the subject stronger.

The CBSE Class 10 Sanskrit course structure is mentioned below hereby. It is divided into 4 sections which are:

  • Part A : Reading Comprehension – 10 Marks
  • Part B : Writing Skills – 15 Marks
  • Part C: Applied Grammar – 25 Marks
  • Part D: Literature- 30 Marks

The Part A which is reading comprehension will consist of an unseen passage on the basis of which the student will be asked to answer in word, one sentence and one question will also require the student to make a suitable title for the given para.

The Part B which is Writing Skills will have questions regarding the letter writing, completing the sentences, making sentences with the help of given images and sentence making through given words.

The Part C which is Applied Grammar will have questions pertaining to Sandhi, questions about correct compounded and expounded forms. The questions will also be asked from the topic regarding suffixes, voice change, dialogue changing and editing words.

The Part D of the Sanskrit Question Paper is from the poetry, prose, drama and shlokas topics from the prescribed books ie Shemushi, Vyakarnavithi and Abhyasvaan Bhav 2.

The examination from the Class 10 Sanskrit Examination is a perfect way to understand the blue print of the question paper. This way, you will be able to know which questions and topics are very very important and which carry less marks. After you have done reading the syllabus and examination pattern of the Class 10th Sanskrit Board Exam, start revising from the sample papers and rock the paper like a star.
