Here Are The Tips To Score High In CBSE Board Exams 2020 English Paper
Attempt the Paper Section-wise
Section A is of reading, section B is of Grammar and Section C is of Literature. Students should attempt the paper in this sequence only. Avoid hopping between sections and ensure that another section is started only when the first section is done.
How to Score Well in Comprehension
Reading section is time-consuming, hence their should be a focus on ensuring that this section is done first and by following proper strategy. We strongly suggest that while doing reading comprehension part, the questions should be read first and then the passage. Though, it is a very common tip, but a tried and tested one.
Learn the Formats of Summary Writing and Letter Writing By Heart
Students should repeatedly practice the formats of summary as well as letter writing. By doing so, they will be able to answer the questions well in the exam. Focus should be on making the introduction and conclusion of the letter writing impressive.
Mastering in Literature Section
This is the last section, so students should solve the long questions first and short questions after that. We are not forcing the students to follow this format only, they can solve the questions as per their convenience, but this tip can prove to be of extreme help.
Make a Habit of Reading
To write, it is very mandatory that a person is well read. Students should make a habit of reading on a daily basis and make it a part of their preparation strategy. Be it an English newspaper, informative magazine or practice papers, students should ensure that they read properly, in order to frame the grammatically correct answers in the exam.
Presentation should be the Key
When it comes to the language-related paper, presentation is the key. Students should ensure that they highlight the sections clearly and in bold, segregate them by drawing straight and neat lines, question numbers and answers should be correctly written and no cutting should be done in the paper. It is the responsibility of the student to ensure that their answer sheets are easy to read.
Avoid Spelling Errors & Follow the Word Limit
Double-check the paper, before submitting it and ensure that there are no spelling errors. Secondly, following the word limit is very important and beneficial too for the students. Say, if students are asked to answer within 150-200 word, then they should try to finish the answer in 150 word. Firstly, it will save their time, secondly less content means less chances of an error, also by writing extra, students won’t be getting any extra marks.
