The exam is scheduled to take place tomorrow i.e. March 03, 2020. The students who are about to appear for the exam must be finding ways to ace the exam. Below are some quick revision tips that students can follow before appearing for the exam.
Stick to the time table set for a day before the exam: Follow the time table strictly before the final day of examination. Decide in advance which book has to be picked up first for revision, which must be second and so on.
Understand the Chronology of Events: Do not cram all the years, long type answers and other important information, rather, try and understand when and how this particular event happened. Then, learn the features of the particular era and what were the outcomes after the end of that era.
Have a look at the previous year question papers: The students ready to appear for the history exam must once again go through the previous year questions. Check which topics most the short type questions and long-type questions are asked.
Use Sticky Notes to Remember Important Years: Make small notes of the years related to the important events and paste them everywhere where you will go for a day. This is done so that you can memorize it for a longer time span.

Practice according to the weightage prescribed: There are 3 books in History namely Ancient India (25 marks), Medieval India (30 marks) and Modern India (35 marks). So, try to focus more on that book which carries more marks.
Befriend the NCERT books: Make sure that your practice and refer only the NCERT books prescribed in your syllabus. Do not refer other books just a day before your final examination.
Revise all those chapters / topics that carry more marks: For this check the marking scheme first and then focus on those chapters or units which carry maximum marks.
Revise all the back exercise questions: The candidates must revise all the questions given at the back of the chapters. At times, the very short questions come from the back exercise itself. So, pay attention to questions present at the back of the chapters.
Do not forget to practice the passage based questions: In the paper, 2-3 source based questions will also come, so try to understand the meaning of the passage and then attempt the questions.

How to Attempt Paper on the Examination Day?
Time Management: The duration of the history exam is 3 hours. So, divide your time accordingly. As this is considered to be a lengthy paper, try not to waste time while attempting the question and keep up with your speed.
Try to answer questions with proper headings: The best way to do the long answer type questions is to include the headings and then start writing features of that event.
Abide by the word limit: Before starting the question paper, analyze the question paper thoroughly. Follow the word limit and answer very short answer type questions, short answer type questions and long answer type questions within the prescribed word limit only.
Do not Leave the Map Question: Try not to avoid this question as this is the most scoring question.
Start answering the question backwards: This is the most important tip to attempt the history paper. Start the question paper by answering it from backwards. So, start answering the very long answer type questions first, then short answer type questions and then attempt very short answers.
