Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken into account the growing concerns among students, parents, teachers and academia about the coronavirus outbreak. To ensure better safety and hygiene for all students, the board has now announced that it will allow students to carry sanitizers and face masks at the exam centers.

CBSE’s Official Notice On Allowing Face Mask, Sanitizer Due To Coronavirus
The notice says, ”CBSE is receiving several inquiries from students and parents in view of the ongoing issue related to Corona Virus, with regards to permitting Face Masks and Sanitizers at examination centres. In view of the inquiries received it is clarified that face mask and sanitizers may be carried by students, if they so desire, in the examination centres.“

Before the board exams started, CBSE had issued a 5 page long document on exam day guidelines, and the board exam stats. In light of the new notice, students can take note of the new guidelines.
Exam Day Guidelines
You should wear: school uniform.
You should arrive: at the exam center on or before 9.45 AM. Be seated in the hall on or before 10 am. Check admit card for timings too.
You can take: permitted stationery, face masks (new addition to this list), sanitizers (new addition to this list).
You should not take: cell phones, wallets, purses, paper chits, question papers. Or anything that is suspicious.
This year a total of 18,89,878 students have enrolled for the class 10 board exams, and 12,06,893 for the class 12 board exams. The number of students from Delhi region are 3,13,132 of class 10, and 2,40,103 from class 12.
Due to the violence incited due to CAA, anti CAA protests, CBSE had to cancel 49 papers in North East Delhi. Now the board has published the revised datesheet for such students as per which class 10 exams will be from March 21 to 31, 2020, and class 12 exams will be from March 31 to April 14, 2020.
This may slightly impact the board’s target of early declaration of results. However it is anticipated that the board will try to cover up the delay by expediting other processes.

Students are encouraged to carry face masks and sanitizers on the board exam days. Besides, they should use handkerchief over mouth while coughing/ sneezing, use tissue paper the sleeve of shirt covering upper arm, stay away from public places otherwise, avoid public gathering.
No. The board has only allowed students to carry their own face masks and sanitizers. Centres will not provide them for students or those accompanying the test takers.
Any sort of discussion or dialogue between two or more students is not allowed when the test is going on. Hence students are discouraged from engaging in talking to each other even for such matters when the board exam is in process.
