#1 Collect and Keep your stationery at one place a night before
Please note that it is not allowed to borrow pens/ pencils or scales while you are in the examination hall. So, please keep all the essentials at one place a night before the D-day to avoid forgetting any of the respective things required tomorrow.
#2 Experts recommend to start the exam from the highest scoring section
Although, it is always good to start the question paper serial number wise, but most experts recommend to start the paper according to the weightage of marks allotted. Let us check the exam pattern for Class 12th Maths Exam first –
- The Question Paper is divided into 4 sections A, B, C and D.
- The Section A consists of 4 questions of 1 marks each.
- The Section B consists of 8 questions of 2 marks each.
- The Section C consists of 11 questions of 4 marks each.
- The Section D consists of 6 marks of 6 marks each.
That makes, the Section C, the most important ones pertaining to the weightage of the marks allotted. Hence, if you think you can catch up on speed attempting the paper serial number wise then go for it and if you think it might be difficult for you then start with Section – C, then Section D, then Section-B and last but not the least Section – A.
#3 Please do mark your questions to avoid confusion
It is very very essential to mark your answers against the right question because doing the vice-versa can create confusion and then the student might end up loosing marks for the same. You can also use black pen for questions and blue pen for answers for initiating neatness in the paper.
#4 Revise your formulae sheet again and again
Formulae are the heart and soul of the Mathematics subject, if one does not know the respective formula, he/she cannot solve the questions and eventually cannot fetch marks then. So, make it a point to revise your formula at least 6-7 times a day before.
#5 Completing 6 hour sleep cycle is important
Sleeping is liking recharging yourself for the next day they say and thus one needs to make sure he/she completes at least 6 hours of sleep before the paper commences. Doing this will ensure optimum level of energy and calm state of mind for the next day.
#6 Do not revise any new concept at this point
Starting a new concept or topic just because your friend has completed it is a complete no – no at this point of time. Just revise and make strong the chapters that you have already prepared for and revised for the examination.

#7 Take time to read the questions carefully
A lot of students make a very silly mistake of reading the numbers in the questions wrong and answering the question all wrong. Hence, make sure you read the question once before attempting it.
#8 Check whether if you have labelled the diagrams right
Diagrams without labelling are also a strict no no. The examiner will not at all provide marks for any diagram which does not have labelling so make sure you do it the right way.
#9 If possible, spare some time for revision
If the time and the speed allows you, please do revise your answer sheet before submitting it. You can this way save yourself from the hassle of losing marks if you have done any silly mistake in the first place.
#10 Leave all the stress and be confident
Be optimistic while attempting the paper! This way you will save yourself from attempting mistakes in the examination.. Be confident and fetch really amazing marks.!
All the best to all!
