Sainik School Nagrota Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

For Class 6: Should be between the age of 10 to 12 years as on the year of admission (Between April 01, 2010 – March 31, 2012) (both days inclusive). This age limit is same for both boys and girls.

For Class 9: Should be between the age of 13 to 15 years as on the year of admission and passed class VIII in a recognised school. (Born between April 01, 2007 – March 31, 2009 (both days inclusive). Candidates must note that Admission to Class IX is not open for girls.

Candidates are admitted based on the merit in All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination. The result is announced of the written examination. The shortlisted candidates will go for the medical exam. The candidates who will pass the medical exam will be able to study in Sainik school Nagrota.

Sainik School Nagrota Admission 2022 Selection Process

All over India, candidates apply for Sainik School. The candidates will be shortlisted according to the score in the Entrance Test. Shortlisted candidates will go for Medical Fitness Test. After the Medical Test, the remained candidates will be able to join Sainik School.

Sainik School Nagrota Admission 2022 Medical Examination

Admission to Sainik School, are medically examined by a Board consisting of Military Medical Specialists. Standards of health and medical fitness for admission are determined by the standards prescribed for NDA keeping in view the tender age of the boys and scope of their growth. In case of rejection on medical grounds, the parents can appeal against the decision of Medical Board through the School for holding a Review Medical board.

Sainik School Nagrota Admission 2022 Scholarship

The State Government as well as Ministry of Defence award scholarships to the boys studying in the Sainik Schools on merit-cum-means basis. The award of Scholarship, is, however, subject to the decision of scholarship granting authorities and the school do not give any guarantee in this regard.

67% seats are reserved for the candidates of J&K domicile including reservation for SC/ST/Defence categories and 33% seats are offered to the boys of other States.
