Eligibility to Fill CSSS Scholarship Application Form 2021
The students who are willing to receive scholarships under the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) must have passed class 12th or equivalent and must be above the 80th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream. Also, the students need to be pursuing higher education in regular mode only from an institution recognized by AICTE, Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India or respective regulatory authorities. The applicants must not be availing benefits of any other scholarship scheme to be eligible for CSSS scholarship 2020.
Documents Required to Fill CSSS Scholarship Application Form 2021
The candidates must be in possession of the following documents for ease of access while filling the application form of CSSS.
- Bank Passbook for filling bank details
- Aadhaar card No.
- Parental income certificate, for fresh applicants only
- A valid mobile number
- A valid email-id
- Caste certificate, wherever required
- Disability certificate, wherever required
Instructions to be followed while providing bank account details
- The account should in the name of the student.
- Complete account number must be entered correctly
- Bank account provided must be active and operational
- Bank Account must be preferably in any Nationalized Bank with core banking facility.
- The student must complete “Know Your Customer” (KYC), if required for successful transaction of scholarship amount.
How to Fill CSSS Scholarship Application Form 2021?
The application process proceeds in 2 stages: Registering on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and filling out the application form. The steps to register as well as to fill the CSSS application form are given below. Read the same carefully.
Step 1: Visit the National Scholarship Portal,i.e., scholarships.gov.in.
Step 2: New users have to click on “New Registration” while the existing users have to click on the “Login” button in the top bar on the homepage of the portal.
Step 3: A new registration form will open for new users. Provide your basic details and bank account details accurately in the registration form, choose scholarship scheme, enter the correct captcha and click on register.
Step 4: The students will receive a unique application number and password on their mobile number. The application number will also be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: After getting the application number, go to the homepage and click on the “Login to Apply” button.
Step 6: Enter the application number and password to log in and proceed to fill CSSS application form. An OTP will be sent to the applicant’s mobile number. The students need to change their passwords using the OTP received.
Step 7: Click on “Application Form” in the dashboard that appears.
Step 8: The application form is divided into the following 3 parts: Registration details, academic details and basic details. Fill the application form as precisely as possible and submit it.
Step 9: The students can also check the status of their application form using the “Check Your Status” option in the dashboard.
Step 10: Take a print-out of the filled-in application form by clicking on the “Print Your Application” button in the dashboard.
CSSS Scholarship
Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) is a merit-means scholarship scheme implemented by the Department of Higher Education since 2008. The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to the meritorious students, to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. Under the scheme, 82000 fresh scholarships are granted each year to students pursuing graduation, post-graduation and professional courses.
