Maharashtra Board students can now have their answer sheets re evaluated

SSC and HSC students in appearing for board exams under Maharashtra Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education can now apply for complete re checking for answer sheets.

Till now, students could only apply for re evaluation of marks for calculative errors. But now, if they think their sheets have been wrongly checked, they can request a complete re-evaluation.

Last year, the scheme of issuing duplicate answer sheets was introduced. From 2013-14 onwards, only those students who have applied for duplicate answer sheets can apply for re evaluation.

How to apply for re evaluation

• Student must apply for duplicate answer sheet first.
• Application for re checking must be given within five days of the result to the board.

A five member committee will be formed under the guidance of chief moderator who will look into the re evaluation.  Further, for a subjective answer, only an increase of 10% or more will be awarded. A written consent will also be required from teacher of the school/college.

Fees for re evaluation

Rs 300 per subject for re evaluation + Rs 400 per subject for duplicate answer sheet.
