Addition polymerisation or chain growth polymerisation:-

  • This type of polymerisation is chain growth polymerisation it involves successive addition of monomer units to the growing chain carrying a reactive intermediate such as free radical a Carbocation or carbanian.
  • The mechanism of this type of polymerisation is free radical addition polymerisation
