Application Form

The application forms can be downloaded directly from the official website (www.dnh.gov.in) and also from the direct link provided below. Candidates are advised must ensure their eligibility and other conditions before filling the downloaded Application form.

Exam Fee:

  • Rs. 100/- (for Gen. Category)
  • Rs. 70/- (for SC 1ST)

The complete application form should be signed by the Principal of the school much before the last date of submission. The candidates as well as the Principal of the school must adhere to the last date of submission of the Application Form. Different states may have different last dates for submission. Please confirm from the liaison officer of your state, the address at which the complete forms are to be submitted.

Eligibility Criteria

All students of Class X studying in recognized schools are eligible to appear for the Stage I examination, conducted by the State/ UTs in which the schools are located. There will be no domicile restriction. Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) will also be eligible for scholarship, provided the student is below the age of 18 years (as on 1st July of the particular year), the student is not employed and s/he is appearing in class X examination for the first time.

Examination Scheme

The pattern of written examination will be as follows:

State I & II : Examination at the State / UT level will comprise of three paper i.e.

At Stage II (National Level), there will be negative marking in each paper. For each wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.

Result

Result of the State I examination will be announced by the respective State Governments / Union Territories in the month of December 2017 / January 2018 after receiving Green Signal from the NCERT. Result of State-I examination may be submitted latest by 31 Dec 2017 and in no case result will be accepted after 15 Jan 2018.
