INESO 2022- Geological Society of India has released the INESO 2022 application form at geosocindia.org. Whereas, INESO 2022 exam date is May 29, 2022. Geological Society of India has issued an online notification of the Indian National Earth Science Olympiad (INESO) for eligible candidates to participate in this significant event. Candidates who are studying in IX, X, and XI Std. in September 2022 and born after July 01, 2003, are eligible to apply for Indian National Earth Science Olympiad. IESO 2022 / INESO 2022

Only 25 students will be selected from the INESO exam and they will proceed further to the next round which is Training Camp. The top eight students will be declared as winners of INESO. If the International Committee, IESO decides to organise virtual IESO, the eight winners of INESO will
participate in the Virtual International Earth Science Olympiad. Candidates can check the important dates from the schedule provided below.

INESO 2022 Application Form

Application Form for INESO 2022 has been released at geosocindia.org. Candidates who is interested in taking part in Indian National Earth Science Olympiad have filled the Application. The application form can be downloaded from the official website or from the direct link provided below.

Application fee: Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 150/-.

INESO 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling the application form the candidate should note that they are falling under the eligibility criteria norms set by the officials. Students of IX, X & XI (in September 2022) who were born after July 01, 2003.

INESO 2022 Admit Card

After the candidates have successfully filled the Application Form, they will be able to download the Admit Card. Admit Card will have official information like exam date, timing and candidate details. It is mandatory that the candidate carry the admit card at the exam centre, without it the candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. INESO 2022 Entrance Test

The 1 ½ hour test starts at 10:30 am will be in English & comprise objective type questions spanning the Geology, Geophysics, Meteorology, Oceanography, Terrestial Astronomy and environmetal science. The candidate should carry the school identity card and SHOULD NOT CARRY ANY MOBILE PHONE on the day of the test. About Twenty five students chosen in order of merit will attend a Virtual Training Camp.

Training Camp – The 15-day Virtual Training Camp in June-July 2022 will comprise lectures, discussions, data mining and poster presentation. The Indian National Earth Science Olympiad will be held at the end of the Camp. The top four students will be declared as winners of 15 INESO.If the International Committee, IESO decides to organise virtual IESO, the eight winners of INESO will participate in the Virtual International Earth Science Olympiad.

Syllabus – In order to prepare for the exam the candidate need to know the syllabus along with the exam pattern.

INESO 2022 Answer Key releases after the candidate have given the INESO 2022, it is released on the official website. Geological Society of India conducts Internation Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), it is an annual competition for secondary school students. The main aim of the IESO is to encourage students interest and public awareness of Earth Science and to enhance Earth Sciences learning and to enhance Earth Science teaching/learning at school level. Geological Society Of India’s main objective is promoting the cause of advanced study and research in all branches of Indian Geology, prompted a small group of geologists to start an organisation for achieving such an objective.
