CBSE All India slogan writing competition on gender equity and empowerment of girls

In order to imbue sensitivity in society and remove prejudices against girl child, the Government of India in 2008, declared January 24 as the ‘National Girl Child Day’. The support of all the social and educational institutions is needed to disseminate the message that girls must be allowed to take birth. They must also get good care and education and be supported to become empowered citizens of this country with equal rights and opportunities.

As part of the activities planned to celebrate the National Girl Child Day in 2013, a nation-wide slogan writing competition on gender equity and empowerment of girls is being organized by the National Mission for Empowerment of Women for the school children in the age group of 14-18 years of age (Classes IX-XII).

In this reference all the schools affiliated to CBSE are requested to encourage their students to take part in this event and contribute in making a gender sensitive society. Schools are requested to widely disseminate the details of this competition to all the children to get maximum number of children involved with their creative skills. The guidelines, competition entry form for All India Slogan Writing Competition are enclosed as annexure ‘A’ (Hindi) and ‘B’ in English. Scanned/typed entries (along with duly filled in entry form) should be emailed to:  [email protected] . The subject line must mention Hindi Slogan Entry as “Hindi Slogan”  and English Slogan Entry as “English Slogan”. The entries can also be
