VVM 2026-27 (Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan) is conducted by Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) with NCERT and the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM); VVM Secretariat for students of Class 6 to 11. The exam is held on 2 dates: Level-I – 16 to 21 November 2026; State Camp (Level-II) – 27 December 2026 to 17 January 2027. The next one is on 16 to 21 November 2026. Registration closed on 15 October 2026. It is also called Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan or Shastra Pratibha Contest (its Middle East edition).

Steps to Apply for VVM 2026-27
- Registration is online only on vvm.org.in (2026-27: 3 Apr to 30 Sep 2026).
- Individual: register with mobile number and email (OTP), pay Rs 200 through the payment gateway and receive a username and password.
- Through school: the school exam coordinator registers the school (at least 10 students per class); students register and pay Rs 200 and enter the school’s referral code, or the school pays in bulk.
- Download the VVM exam app from the student profile and practise on the mock tests before the exam.
Who can apply for VVM 2026-27?
Students of Class VI to XI (CBSE, ICSE, IB, State Boards).
Qualifying and selection: Section B is checked only if the student scores at least 50% (80 of 160) in Section A. Merit is on the total of both sections; the top 25 per class in each state go to the State Level Camp, and the top 2 per class from each state go to the National Camp. Ties are broken by a viva-voce.
What is the VVM exam pattern?
VVM has multiple-choice questions and lasts 90 minutes. Mode: online, app-based exam taken from home (or school) on a smartphone, laptop or desktop (Windows and Android only). Section A: No. Section B: -1 for each wrong answer. The number of questions and marks depend on the class:

What do VVM toppers get?
State winners (top 3 per class) get Rs 5,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,000. National winners (‘Himalayans’, top 3 per class) get Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000, a SRIJAN internship and the Bhaskara Scholarship of Rs 2,000 a month for a year; zonal winners get Rs 5,000/3,000/2,000. School and district toppers get merit certificates.
