The National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X is meant to identify and nurture talent. The Karnataka NTSE 2017 Exam is conducted every year at two levels, Stage I at State Level and Stage II at National Level. It is conducted by Department of State Educational Research and Training, to search candidates to go for NTSE Stage 2. The application form for the exam will be available from August 28, 2017. Candidates of state, studying in class 10, may check more details about the exam from below.

Eligibility & Reservation for Karnataka NTSE 2017

Any regular student of 10th Standard shall be eligible to appear in the National Talent Search Examination. Eligibility marks to apply : 55% for General and 45% for SC/ST Candidates, in 9th Standard Annual Examination.

The application form for the Karnataka NTSE 2017 is available in Concerned Block Education Office (BEO) only. The facility to submit the online application form has not been provided.

Admit Card of Karnataka NTSE 2017

The admit card of the examination will be issued for all the candidates who will apply for the examination. It will be an important document, which the candidates will have to secure until the end. Also, without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.

Important Note:- Students / Parents / School Heads are requested to collect NTSE exam admit card from respective Block Education Office (BEO).

Karnataka NTSE 2017 Exam Pattern

The Examination will be conducted in three sessions on the same day

  • Paper I : General Mental Ability Test (GMAT) 50 questions for 50 Marks
  • Paper II : English Language Comprehension Test (ELCT) 50 questions of 50 Marks.
  • Paper III : Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) 100 questions of 100 Marks

Karnataka NTSE Answer Key 2017

The answer key for the exam will be released within few days. The candidates will be able to download it online. The candidates can use the answer key to calculate and estimate their score in the examination.

Karnataka NTSE Result

NTSE Stage I Result / Merit list has been declared by Department of State Educational Research and Training. It will be released as a PDF file, in which the details of the candidates will be mentioned. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check the result 7 Merit list, which will be provided here.

Qualifying Marks in the exam are as below:

For General Category 40% marks in each paper
For SC / ST / PH Category 35%
