- Perimeter of a polygon is the sum of length of all sides.
- Perimeter of a regular polygon
= number of sides× length of one side.
Perimeter of square = 4 × side = 4 L
Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 (l + b)
Circumference is the perimeter of a circle = 2 π r
Where π = 22/7 or 3.14 - Area of a polygon is the space occupied by the figure in a plane.
Area of square = side × side
Area of rectangle = length × breadth
Area of parallelogram = base × height
Area of triangle = 1 / 2 base × height
Area of a circle = π r2
