Class XII Math Preparation Tips For Calculus and Integration – How to prepare for board exams?
Let us take up the next topic Integration (Chapter 7), which is a big chapter. You may recall that the total Calculus has 44 marks. Out of which 19 marks are allotted to chapters 7 and 8 (Integration and its application). Normally 12-13 marks are allotted to chapter 7. You should definitely expect three 4-mark questions in this topic. In most cases, you’ll find two 4-mark question from Indefinite integration and one 4-mark question from Definite integral.
Your target time for first revision should be 10 hours approximately for the eleven exercises (7.1 to 7.11) and the Misc exercise and also little bit of previous years’ questions from reference book (if time permits).

Tip: Please remember that this chapter has many formulae but the patterns of questions are fixed. Normally no tricky question is expected here. Just practise all the patterns carefully and be careful about the calculations in Ex 7.5 (partial fraction). You can use the alternative method to cross-check the values of the constants.
This first revision of this topic should be completed by 20 – 22 Nov. So, get going.
