Who can apply for Jharkhand NMMS 2026-27?
Students of Class 8 can take Jharkhand NMMS.
Qualifying and selection: Under the revised national NMMSS guidelines the parents’ income limit is Rs 3.5 lakh a year. JAC’s own detailed notification for the exam (Vigyapti 54/2025 dated 18.12.2025) with eligibility and qualifying marks is not posted online.
What is the Jharkhand NMMS exam pattern?
Jharkhand NMMS has multiple-choice questions and lasts Both papers on the same day. The number of questions and marks depend on the class:

How much is the Jharkhand NMMS scholarship?
Rs 12,000 a year from the Government of India, paid by DBT straight to the student’s bank account. Selected students apply on the National Scholarship Portal (fresh in Class 9, renewal in Classes 10-12, choosing the Pre-Matric option in Classes 9-10); the school principal verifies the application online. Jharkhand gets 1,959 of the 1,00,000 NMMS scholarships each year (Ministry of Education quota).
