West Bengal Board of Madrasah Education (WBBME) established in 1927. Initially, it started in the year 1780 as Madrasah Education System. Presently, there are 614 recognized Madrasahs located across West Bengal State, 102 Madrasahs are running under Senior Madrasah Education System and 512 Madrasahs are under the High Madrasah Education System in WB.
