    The solution to the 3rd question is wrong….the equipotential surface is the plane passing through the midpoint of AB,perpendicular to it….

    an equipotential surface is one over which the potential is constant throught out. and not necessarily zero. and it is drawn in such a way that it must be perpendicular to the field lines at every point. In question no. 3 there can be many equipotential surfaces one of which is a plane at the midpoint of the two charges because there electric field lines are perpendicular to the plane
