All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) releases the merit list after the successful submission of the application form. AICTE releases first the provisional merit list consisting of the names of the qualified candidates. After all the corrections, the final merit list is released on the official website of the AICTE portal. Candidates are advised to check the marks in the list and in case of corrections the student must report directly to the conducting body. The merit list will be released in the pdf format. PMSSS 2020 Seat Allotment
After releasing of merit list by the AICTE the counselling or seat allotment process will begin. Seat allotment round will include the verification of documents and the choices filled by the candidate for the admission to different colleges will be done. Those candidates who will get allotted will come under fee waiver students under the PMSSS scheme. Candidate must come to the counselling as without it the candidate will not be allotted seat and Hence, no scholarship for further studies.
The Prime Minister’s Special Scheme Scholarship (PMSSS) was started in the year 2011. The scheme was formulated to give scholarships to the Jammu and Kashmir residents for the higher studies outside the Jammu and Kashmir. The scholarship is awarded to meet the expenditure towards the Academic Fees and Maintenance Allowances (for a hostel, mess, cost of books and other incidental charges) to candidates who are admitted through the counselling of AICTE.
