How is Indian Talent Olympiad Result Prepared?
The raw scores are calculated using the marking scheme of the examination. Since 1 mark is awarded to the examinees for each correct answer, all the correct answers are totalled to arrive at the final score. Each question paper is divided into 2 sections. Section-wise weightage for the correct answers remains same, i.e., no matter whether question belongs to section 1 or section 2, 1 mark is to be added to the total for a correct answer.
How to Check Indian Talent Olympiad Result?
The students and schools can check the result after it is declared from the ITO’s website, indiantalent.org or using ITO’s app. To check the result online through the website, follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Access the official website of Indian Talent Olympiad. Candidates can use the direct link provided on this page for the same.
Step 2: On scrolling down, candidates are going to find “Olympiad Results” link.
Step 3: Clicking on that link opens a new page, wherein one has to log in using his/her roll number, as shown below.
Step 4: The result is going to pop up on the screen.
Indian Talent Olympiad Result for Level 1 Exams
All the students who apply for Indian Talent Olympiad Level 1 exams can check their results after the exams have been successfully conducted. The schedule for the same is given above on this page. For exams organized at one level only, this is the final result, however, for 2-level exams, the result of Level 1 is only used as a shortlisting criterion for the next round.
Indian Talent Olympiad Result for Level 2 Exams
Based on the result of Level 1, candidates are shortlisted for Level 2 exams. It is only held for the subjects of Science, Mathematics, English and General Knowledge (GK). Following candidates are eligible to appear for 2nd round Olympiads.
- Top 20% students from each class.
- Class toppers who score more than 50% marks in Level 1 exam provided that at least 10 students took the exam from that class. For section wise registrations, class toppers are chosen from each section provided that a minimum of 25 students participate from each section.
Tie-breaking criteria for Level 2 Exams: When 2 or more students have the same total scores, better ranking is decided using the following criteria.
- Marks in those sections of Level 2 exam, which are given higher priority.
- If tie persists, total marks scored in Level 1 exam are considered.
- In case of a further tie, marks in those sections of Level 1 exam, which are given higher priority, are considered.
- If tie still exists, same rank is assigned to each student and scholarship amount is shared amongst them.

Indian Talent Olympiad Result Re-checking and Re-evaluation
Re-checking and Re-evaluation facilities are provided for Level 1 exams only. All the queries regarding question papers, OMR answer sheets, re-checking and re-evaluation are only considered within 20 days of the result declaration. The schools can request the soft copy of OMR answer sheets during this period.
Charges for Re-checking/ Re-evaluation- Rs 500 per subject per OMR sheet
Since only a few thousand candidates appear for Level 2 exams, their OMR sheets are scanned twice through OMR machine to eliminate any error. Hence, Indian Talent Olympiad does not entertain any requests for re-checking/ re-evaluation of the same.
