Application Form
The application forms can be downloaded directly from the official website (www.andaman.gov.in) and also from the direct link which will be updated in the future. Candidates are advised must ensure their eligibility and other conditions before filling the downloaded Application form.
Note – Make sure that the admit card is not detached from the application form.
Eligibility Criteria
The students should have minimum 55% marks or equivalent Grade in class VII examination for appearing in the selection test for the award of scholarship (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).
The parental annual income should not exceed Rs. 1,50,000/-.
Enclose income certificate from Revenue Authority not below the rank of Tehsildar/DDO concern (For Govt.Employees)
Filled in applications with supportive documents will be accepted up to the schedule date.
Exam pattern
The pattern of written examination will be as follows. The examination will comprise in two parts –
- Part I: Mental Ability Test (MAT) for 90 minutes
- Part II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The SAT will consist of 90 marks covering Science, Social Studies and Mathematics of class VII & VIII.

All questions in the booklets are objective type.
Each question carries 1 mark.
Admit Card
The Admit cards will be sent to the Superintendent of the examination center after allotting the Roll Numbers. Candidate can collect the Admit Card from the Head of the institution at least one week before the examination.
Answer Key
Andaman & Nicobar National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2020 – 21 answer key will be published by the officials. The NMMS exam for class VIII will be held in the month of November 2020. Selection Process
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:
(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
(ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
Mental Ability Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure etc.
Scholastic Aptitude Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, science, social studies and mathematics as taught in classes VII and VIII.
Duration of the Test
Each test will be of 90 minutes duration. Children with disability will be given extra time, as applicable.
