Liberal Studies (Liberal Arts) is an interdisciplinary approach to education, letting students combine subjects across humanities, social sciences, and sciences to build broad, flexible knowledge and critical thinking.

It develops well-rounded thinkers ready for diverse careers and higher study, and is offered by leading new-age universities. Ideal for curious students who do not want to be boxed into one subject.

Liberal Studies Courses and Eligibility

10+2 in any stream. A BA/B.Sc in Liberal Arts/Studies is a 3-4 year degree offered by many private and central universities. Some of the most popular Liberal Studies courses and degrees are:

  • BA/B.Sc in Liberal Arts / Liberal Studies
  • BA (Hons.) with interdisciplinary majors
  • Integrated Liberal Arts programmes
  • MA in related disciplines

Within Liberal Studies, you can choose to specialise in areas such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Media and Communication, Economics and Public Policy, and Data and Interdisciplinary Studies.
