Sainik School Kazhakootam Admission 2018 – Sainik School Kazhakootam has released notification for admission to Class VI and Class IX for boys only through All India Sainik School Entrance Examination held on 07 Jan 2018. Admission is confined to classes VI & IX for boys only. The standard of the Entrance Examination would be equivalent to that of Standard Vand VIII (CB SE) respectively.
Aim: The Sainik Schools were established from 1961, with the primary aim of preparing boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the Officer cadre of the Armed Forces.
For Admission to class VI: Boys who are not under ten years or over eleven years of age as on 1 July of the year of admission. (Between 02 July 2007 – 01 July 2008) (both days

Candidates who are applying for Entrance Exam by obtaining it from school, have to submit duly filled application form along with following documents
- A passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 m) photograph should be neatly affixed and duly attested by the Headmaster of the school last attended / Gazetted Officer, in the space on the application form and the identification certificate.
- Scheduled Caste / Tribe candidates should forward caste certificate obtained from Tahsildar along with the application form. Parents/guardians must also submit a copy of the certificate from the Registrar of births and death duly attested by the Principal / Headmaster of the school to prove the date of birth. Class IX candidates should get a certificate from the school stating the class in which he is studying at present along with the certificate of Date of Birth without fail.
The pattern of Entrance Examination as on 07 Jan 2018 is given below.
Medium of examination will be English, Hindi, Malayalam or any other recognised official
language. The question papers for class VI will be set in English, Malayalam and all other
recognised official languages. But question papers for class IX will be set in English only. No
separate answer sheets are required for both class VI and IX as OMR based answer sheet will be provided to the candidates.
Centre of Written Exam and Interviews
Written Test : In Kerala State, Candidates can take the test at any of the following centres
provided at least 20 candidates appear from that centre.
- KAZHAKOOTAM, KOTTAYAM, ERNAKULAM, KOZHIKODE, PALAKKAD, KAVARATHI (LAKSHADWEEP)
The School does not patronise any coaching institute/agent and admission will be made
strictly in accordance with merit and medical fitness of candidature in the Entrance
Examination. Any attempt by the parent/guardian to influence the school authorities /
interview board members will lead to the disqualification of the candidature of their ward.
No change will be permitted in the date of birth after registering for the entrance examination. If date of birth of the candidate is proved wrong at any stage, it will lead to his expulsion from the school and his parents will be liable to refund the entire amount of scholarship, if he is a scholarship holder.
