Chandigarh NMMS exam will be conducted on February 06, 2022. National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) is launched by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. Under this scheme, 85 scholarships will be awarded to the students of UT Chandigarh who are appearing in the Class VIII examination. There is one stage selection process for the award of scholarship. Selection of candidates is done through the State Level Test conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), UT Chandigarh. Chandigarh NMMS 2021 – 2022
Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India has launched a centrally sponsored National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Scheme. The scholarship will start from Class IX and would continue till Class XII at the rate of Rs 12000/- per annum. Candidates can check the dates of Chandigarh NMMS 2021 – 2022 from below.

Chandigarh NMMS 2021 – 2022 Application Form
Candidates can download their Application Form from the official website, which is scertchd.edu.in, or can be collected from the office of Director, SCERT, Sector-32-C, Chandigarh. Chandigarh NMMS 2021 – 2022 Eligibility
- The student should be a bonafide student of a Govt. / Govt. Aided school of UT Chandigarh.
- All students of class VIII in academic year 2021-22, who have been promoted from class VII with be allowed to appear in the NMMSS exam of 2021, as a special, irrespective of minimum marks (Due to COVID-19 pandemic and lock down).
- The maximum parental income of the student should be less than Rs.1.50 lakh per annum.

Chandigarh NMMS 2021 – 2022 Result and Selected Candidates List

The students must pass both the papers i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in aggregate taken together for these two papers. For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks
There is 4% reservation for physically challenged group student and The division of seats will be done according to reservation policy of UT Chandigarh.

Chandigarh NMMS Answer key 2016 – 2017
Official NMMS 2016-17 stage I answer key has been published. NMMS 1st level exam for class 10th was held on 06 Nov 2016. Candidates can check the official answer key here, through the direct link provided below.
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:
(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
(ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
Mental Ability Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions testing verbal and non-verbal meta-cognitive abilities like reasoning and critical thinking. The questions in the test may be on analogy, classification, numerical series, pattern perception, hidden figure etc.
Scholastic Aptitude Test may consist of 90 multiple-choice questions covering subjects namely, science, social studies and mathematics as taught in classes VII and VIII.
Duration of the Test
Each test will be of 90 minutes duration. Children with disability will be given extra time, as applicable.
