Meghalaya NMMS 2021-22- Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT) Meghalaya, Shillong has released the result for National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2021-22. It has released in PDF format at megeducation.gov.in. Meghalaya NMMS 2021-2022 exam was conducted on March 19, 2022. NMMS is a flagship activity of the NCERT New Delhi started in the year 2008 conducted for awarding a scholarship to eligible candidates for class VIII for the state of Meghalaya. Candidates have to passed the 7th class atleast with 55% for general and 50% for SC/ST quota. Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Result

Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Application Form
Candidates who had filled the application form on time will only be eligible to take the examination. Eligible candidates may take help from their teacher/parent for filling up the application form.
Document to be submitted along with application forms
- Two passport size
- Report Card (Class VII)
- SC/ST Certificate from Competent Authority.
- Disability Status Certificate from the Component Authority (if any)
- Parental Income certificate from the competent authority
Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates before applying must check their eligibility criteria before applying for Meghalaya NMMS 2021. Below we have mentioned the eligibility criteria as follows:
- Candidates should be currently reading in Class VIII in Govt/Govt. Aided/local body schools.
- Candidates should have scored at least 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in Class VII Promotion Examination.
- Candidates studying in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodayas and residential schools run by Central and State Government are not entitled to a scholarship under NMMS Scheme.
- Parental annual income from all sources should not exceed 1,50,000/- (Rupees one lakhs fifty thousand) only.
Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Admit Card
The admit card fo Meghalaya NMMS 2021 will be released officially along with the application form. Admit card will be sent to the chief superintendent of the examination centre after allotting the Roll Numbers. Candidate can be able to collect the Admit card from the school authorities as per the instructions. On the day of the examination, candidates will have to reach the examination centre at least half an hour before the commencement of the examination; and occupy the seat that will bear their respective Roll Number.
Note: Do not take mobile phones, calculator, Mathematical or Physical table or any other kind of ready reckoner to the examination hall.

Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Exam Pattern
The examination will be conducted in two sessions on the same day. It will be divided into two sections:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and

Marking Scheme: Each question will carry one mark. There is no negative marking.
Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 Answer Key
The Meghalaya National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination answer keys for both MAT and SAT examination will release on the official website. The students who will appear in the examination can check the answer keys from there. Also, we will provide a direct link for the ease of the intended students.
Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 NMMS Cut Off
The students must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40 % marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests. For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks. The cut off for Meghalaya National-Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination will release after the completion of the examination successfully.
Previous year Question Paper & Answer Key
The Answer Key & Paper for Meghalaya NMMS 2021 – 2022 will be published online by the official authorities. The answer key will be released as a pdf file and contains the answer to all the questions asked in the exam. The candidates can estimate their score through the answer key of NMMS.
Selection Process
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
For selecting the students, the following conditions may apply:
The students must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40 % marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests. For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks.
At the time of selection for the award of scholarship, the student must have scored at least 55% mark or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST students.
