Karnataka NMMS 2020- 2021 – The examination is conducted for class 8th students. Centrally Sponsored National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme for the students of class 9th to 12th. Karnataka NMMS 2020 – 2021
The main objective of this course is particularly to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at Class VIII and to encourage them to continue their studies till Class XII. Karnataka NMMS 2020 Application Form
The application forms for Karnataka NMMS 2020 will be available online. Students should carefully fill the application form by mentioning all the personal and educational/professional details. Any error or mistake in the application form will be not be entertained or rectified by the conducting body later. If the Application Form is incomplete, the conducting body will have the full authority to reject any application form without any notice given to the students.
Eligibility Criteria of NMMS 2020
Students of Govt & Aided High Schools are only eligible to appear for the examination if they fulfill the eligibility criteria (as per last year) below:
- Parental income should not exceed Rs. 1, 50,000/- per annum.
- Any regular student of class VIII in academic session 2020-21 can appear provided he/she has secured 55% or more marks in aggregate in Class VII relaxable by 5% for SC/ST.
- Candidate shall be studying in Government Schools, Government aided schools.
Karnataka NMMS Exam Pattern 2020
The following exam pattern details is according to the last year information. The examination will comprise of two parts, namely-
Paper I: Mental Ability Test (MAT): Consisting of 90 compulsory questions for 90 Marks.
Paper II: Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) consisting of 90 Marks [History, Civics, Economics, Geography (35 Marks), Physics, Chemistry, Biology (35 Marks), and Mathematics (20 Marks)].

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer candidates will awarded with 1 marks in both MAT and SAT papers.
Admit Card of Karnataka NMMS 2020
The candidates will be able to collect NMMS admit card from the respective Block of Education Office. Examination centers will be mentioned on the admit card of the students. The candidates will have to ensure that they carry in it as hard copy on the day of the examination.
Karnataka NMMS Cut Off
Candidates have to obtained the minimum cut off marks to qualify the NMMS exam. The last year cut off in aggregate taken together for these two tests MAT and SAT for general category is 40 % marks. For the SC/ST students, this cut off was 32% marks. For the new sessions we will be providing the cut off here on our page for the ease of the candidate.
Karnataka NMMS 2020 Selection Process
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
For selecting the students, the following conditions may apply:
The students must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40 % marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests. For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks.
At the time of selection for the award of scholarship, the student must have scored at least 55% mark or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST students.
