Jharkhand NMMS 2021 – 2022
The main objective of this course is particularly to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at Class VIII and to encourage them to continue their studies till Class XII. Candidates can check the information on this page for a clear understanding of the procedure to apply for this course, its results and other important information. Application Form
Application Form of Jharkhand NMMS 2021 – 2022 is available on its official website and direct link of the same is also provided below. Candidates should be very careful while filling the application forms because no excuses about errors and corrections in the Application Forms will not be entertained later at any cost.
Application Form: The application Process is over now.
The completed application forms in all respect should be submitted to the officials along with the prescribed fee on or before the last date. The forms received after the last date shall not be accepted/entertained at any cost. Students belong to SC/ST, OBC is requested to submit their caste certificate (Attested Copy) along with application form.
Exam Fee
Below mentioned examination fee is need to be submit online by the applicants.
- General students: Rs. 250/-
- SC/ST students: Rs. 125/-
Eligibility Criteria
- Any regular student of class VIII in academic session 2021-22 can appear provided he/she has secured 55% or more marks in aggregate in Class VII relaxable by 5% for SC/ST/PCG.
- Candidate shall be studying in Government Schools, Government aided schools.
- The parental income of the candidate should be less than Rs. 1,50,000/- per year (Income certificate issued by Tehsildar/Mamletdar must be attached in the original).
Exam pattern
The pattern of written examination will be as follows. The examination will comprise of two parts, namely-
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer candidates will awarded with 1 marks in both MAT and SAT papers.
Admit Card
Admit card is provided by the Principal to the students. Examination centers will be mentioned on the admit card of the students. The candidate should reach the examination center 1 hour before the commencement of the examination.
Answer Key
The Answer key for the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) will be released by the conducting body as soon as the examination will be conducted. Candidates can check the same from the official website or use the direct link will be provided here for the convenience of candidates.
Result
Result of the National Means Cum Merit Scholarship will be released by officials. The exam takes place for the class 8th students and results for the same will be uploaded. Candidates can check the result on the official website. A direct link to check the result will also be provided below on this page. The result will be in the form of a merit list.
Cut Off
Candidates have to obtained the minimum cut off marks to qualify the NMMS exam. The last year cut off in aggregate taken together for these two tests MAT and SAT for general category is 40 % marks. For the SC/ST students, this cut off was 32% marks. For the new sessions we will be providing the cut off here on our page for the ease of the candidate.

Selection Process
Each State/UT will conduct its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination may consist of the following two tests:
- Mental Ability Test (MAT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
For selecting the students, the following conditions may apply:
The students must pass both the tests i.e. MAT and SAT with at least 40 % marks in aggregate taken together for these two tests. For the SC/ST students, this cut off will be 32% marks.
At the time of selection for the award of scholarship, the student must have scored at least 55% mark or equivalent grade in Class VIII examination. There will be 5 % relaxation for SC/ST students.
