CBSE Class 9 Sanskrit Communicative Syllabus 2027 – Grammar Topics Covered
Under Anuprayukta Vyakaranam (Applied Grammar – ग खण्ड, 25 marks), the following topics are prescribed for CBSE Class 9 Sanskrit Communicative.
Within these, students study Swara, Vyanjana and Visarga Sandhi; the Karaka and Upapada Vibhakti (Dvitiya through Saptami); noun forms (Shabda Rupa) in masculine, feminine, neuter and pronominal declensions; verb forms (Dhatu Rupa) in Parasmaipada, Atmanepada and Ubhayapada; the suffixes (Pratyaya) क्त्वा, तुमुन्, ल्यप्, क्त, क्तवतु, शतृ and शानच्; Tatpurusha Samasa; numbers 1–100 (1–4 in Prathama only); places of articulation (Uccharana Sthana); and indeclinables (Avyaya) of place, time, question and conjunction.

The Pathita Avabodhanam (घ खण्ड) section carries 30 marks and is based on the prescribed textbook, while the course as a whole is organised around the four language skills.
Prescribed Textbook: The Class 9 Sanskrit Communicative textbook is to be notified soon by NCERT / र.शै.अनु.प्र.परि. (published by NCERT). As per the CBSE note, topics of applied grammar are to be selected from the prescribed textbook as far as possible, and the complete book-based curriculum (पुस्तकपाठादिसहितं पूर्णः पाठ्यक्रमः) will be notified shortly.
