- My Brother’s Great Invention (Anita Rau Badami) is a funny story told by Anita about her brother Anand, whose burglar alarm soaks Papa and whose time machine may have made the thief Boppa vanish.
- Paper Boats (Rabindranath Tagore) is a poem in which a child floats paper boats with his name and shiuli flowers, and dreams that the fairies of sleep sail in them.
- North, South, East, West (C.G. Salamander) is a set of postcards by Shaana of Rameswaram as she travels India with her parents, from a Kashmir glacier to the beaches of Tamil Nadu.
- All three pieces celebrate curiosity and imagination: an inventor who keeps tinkering, a child who wonders who will find his boat, and a traveller eager to see every corner of India.
