National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) started in the year 1963. The purpose of the scheme is to identify talented students and nurture them. NCERT conducts the National Talent Search Examination for students studying in Class X.

The application forms for Chandigarh NTSE 2019-2020 will be available for class X students. Students should carefully fill the application form by mentioning all the personal and educational/professional details. Any error or mistake in the application form will be not be entertained or rectified by the conducting body later.
Note: If the Application Form is incomplete, the conducting body will have the full authority to reject any application form.
Eligibility to appear in the examination
The students who are studying X Class during the current academic year i.e., 2019-20 in any recognized school in Chandigarh are eligible to appear for the above said Examination.
The following exam pattern details is according to the NCERT latest information notification. The Stage I & II examination will comprise of two parts, namely-

Marking Scheme: For each correct answer candidates will awarded with 1 marks in both MAT and SAT papers. At Stage II There will be a negative marking.

Chandigarh NTSE Admit Card 2019 – 2020
Candidates can download the admit card through the direct link that will be provided below. Applicants who will submit the completed application form on or before the last date will able to download the admit card from the official website. Admit card is an essential document for the exam purpose. No candidate will be allowed to enter without it.

Chandigarh NTSE 2019 – 2020 for Class X Official Answer key of Stage – I exam will be made available on the official website as per the schedule. The exam is due to be held in the 1st week of November 2019. Candidates can check the answer keys here after the official announcement.
Chandigarh NTSE 2019 – 2020 Result
SCERT, Chandigarh will declare the Result of Chandigarh NTSE 2019 – 2020 for Class X for stage – I exam on the official website. The result will be in PDF form and candidates details like Candidate Name, Address, school name and Marks obtained in MAT, and SAT will be mentioned on it. Chandigarh NTSE 2019 – 2020 Cut Off
Candidates have to obtained the minimum cut off marks to qualify the NTSE exam. The qualifying marks for candidates from SC/ST/PH category is 32% in each paper and for other (General/OBC & EWS) Categories it is 40% in each paper.

Identification of talent comprises two-stage selection process. While the individual State/UT conducts the first stage selection, the second stage selection at the national level is carried out by the NCERT.
State Level Exam: State level examination may have two parts: Part-I Mental Ability Test (MAT) and PartII Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) for nominating the required number of candidates for the second level test to be conducted by the NCERT.
National Level Exam: Only the candidates selected by the States/UTs on the basis of their screening examination shall be eligible to appear in the National level examination to be conducted by the NCERT.
