What Is in Virangana Pannadhaya (वीराङ्गना पन्नाधाया)? (Class 7 Sanskrit Chapter 12)
- भारतभूमि वीरों और त्यागियों की भूमि है; अथर्ववेद का वचन ‘माता भूमिः पुत्रोऽहं पृथिव्याः’ पाठ के आरम्भ में उद्धृत है।
- सोलहवीं शताब्दी (षोडश शतक) में मेवाड के महाराणा सङ्ग्रामसिंह के दो पुत्र थे — विक्रमादित्यः और उदयसिंहः।
- पृथ्वीराज के अठारह पुत्रों में से एक बनवीर ने छल से विक्रमादित्य को मारकर मेवाड पर शासन किया और फिर उदयसिंह को मारने का कुतन्त्र रचा।
- धाय पन्नाधाया ने उदयसिंह के शयनस्थान पर अपने पुत्र चन्दन को सुला दिया; बनवीर ने चन्दन को उदयसिंह समझकर मार डाला।
- पन्नाधाया का निर्णय अकल्पनीय था — ‘व्यक्तिहितं न, राष्ट्रहितम् एव श्रेष्ठम्’। कालान्तर में उदयसिंह ने बनवीर को मारकर मेवाड का राज्य पाया और उन्हीं के पुत्र हुए महाराणा प्रताप।
- व्याकरण — लङ्-लकार (भूतकाल) के पठ् धातु के नौ रूप, वचन-परिवर्तन, प्रश्ननिर्माण, सवर्णदीर्घ सन्धि तथा क्तवतु-प्रत्ययान्त पद।
