CBSE Class 11 Work Experience Syllabus 2027 – Assessment Weightage
Work Experience (Work Education) is assessed entirely internally and carries 25 marks for the project. There is no written theory paper. The 25 marks are split across a three-dimensional evaluation – self-assessment, peer assessment and assessment by the mentor.

CBSE Class 11 Work Experience Syllabus 2027 – Practical Work & Assessment
The subject is 100% practical and project-based. Students follow a nine-step project cycle – Brain Storm, Select a Topic, Research, Plan, Act, Check, Review, Reflect and Record & Report – over the allotted 50 periods, capturing evidence in a portfolio/dossier.
Evidence is gathered through Tools & Techniques such as observation, interview, group discussion, debate, feedback sheets, checklists, a self-assessment questionnaire, a dossier and a final Project Report with reflection. For Classes XI and XII, Work Experience is subsumed in Health and Physical Education (HPE strand 3), but grades are assigned individually against Work Education (Subject Code 500).

Since there is no written exam, the mentor evaluates each student against a rubric with recommended scores from Satisfactory (2) to Excellent (5). The criteria are as follows.
