CBSE Class 12 Work Experience Syllabus 2027 – Marks Weightage (Internal Assessment)
Work Experience (SEWA) carries 25 total marks, and there is no theory/written exam component – the entire subject is assessed internally through a three-dimensional evaluation: Self-assessment, Peer assessment, and Assessment by the mentor.

Students take up one project from the following exemplar modules under the Social Empowerment sub-strand of SEWA. Schools/classes may also choose any other project with a positive impact on the environment, community, society, or the disadvantaged.
CBSE Class 12 Work Experience Syllabus 2027 – Practical Work & Assessment
Work Experience is entirely practical/project-based – there is no theory paper. The course is delivered over 50 periods, during which students brainstorm, select a topic, research, plan, act, check, review, reflect, and record & report on their chosen project.
Tools and techniques used for practical work and assessment include observation, interview, group discussion, debate, feedback sheet, workbook, checklist, self-assessment questionnaire, dossier, project report with reflection, and activity sheets. Each student maintains a portfolio/dossier, a SEWA hour log signed by the mentor, and a Self-Appraisal Form as evidence of their work.

Since Work Experience has no written exam, CBSE prescribes a rubric-based assessment across five criteria, each scored out of a maximum of 5 (Excellent), down to Satisfactory (2).
