CBSE Class 10 Bengali Marking Scheme 2027 (Solutions)
The 2027 marking scheme gives the correct option for every MCQ, answer keys for all grammar items (with 0.5 partial credit in samas when either the byasbakya or the samas name is wrong, and max 1 mark in sadhu/chalit only if pronoun, verb and postposition are all converted) and full model answers naming the source story/poem and author for Q8–Q15. It prints a mark split for explanation with context (source 1, context 1, explanation 3), the letter (format 3 – 0.5 each for salutation, newspaper name/address, date, subject, closing, sender’s address – and content 3) and the paragraph (content 3, form and language 3). Check your answers against it after you solve the paper.

How to Score Well – Tips from the 2027 Paper
- Grammar is now 20 marks and fully written – practise sandhi joining/splitting, samas with byasbakya and samas name, sentence transformation (simple/complex/compound) and sadhu ↔ chalit conversion.
- In sadhu/chalit conversion change every pronoun, verb and postposition – the marking scheme gives the mark only when all are converted.
- For explanation with context (Q11) write the source poem and poet (1), the context (1) and a full explanation (3).
- Revise the three Galpaguchchha stories (Dan-Pratidan, Kabuliwala, Postmaster) closely – 13 marks come from them, including statement/reason MCQs.
- In the letter to the editor, the format alone carries 3 marks – include salutation, newspaper name and address, date, subject, closing and sender’s address.
- Solve the 2027 paper in one sitting with a timer, check it with the marking scheme, then solve the 2026 paper a few days later.
