What Is New in the Computer Application Sample Paper 2027?
Compared with the 2026 sample paper (session 2025-26):
- No change in pattern – same 26 questions, 50 marks, 2 hours and the same sections as the 2026 sample paper (A 12 × 1, B 7 × 2, C 4 × 3, D 1 × 4, E 2 × 4; choices in Q14, Q16, Q18, Q22 and Q24 in both years).
- Footer note changed from ‘the assessment scheme of the Academic Session 2024-25 will continue in the current session i.e. 2025-26’ to ‘There is no change in the Question Paper Design and Assessment Pattern for Academic Session 2026-27’.
- General Instructions no longer name question types (2026: SA-I, SA-II, LA); Section A now includes a True/False item (2026 Section A was described as 12 MCQs).
- Two questions are repeated from 2026: web address vs email address (Q14B, 2026 Q14B) and Ravi’s ‘http’ payment site (now Q18B; 2026 Q19).
- Section D option B is now an HTML feedback form (text box, radio buttons, list box) instead of 2026’s short image-tag questions.
Questions from the Computer Application Sample Paper 2027

- Section A, 1 mark: Anish wants to merge three cells of a single row in an HTML table. Which attribute should he use? (A) rowspan (B) colspan (C) width (D) align
- Section E, 4 marks: Case (Q26): Maya has created a photo-editing app and wants others to view and improve her code while keeping credit. I. A licence lets anyone view, modify and distribute the source code freely – what type of software is this? II. Which IPR automatically protects her original code? III. Which protection should she register to stop others using her app’s name or logo? IV. A competitor removes her name and sells her code as their own – what is this act called?
CBSE Class 10 Computer Application Marking Scheme 2027 (Solutions)
The 2027 marking scheme gives the correct option for each objective question (1 mark each), model answers and complete HTML code for every coding question, and the mark split per part (e.g. 1 mark for <audio> tag + 1 for autoplay; ½ mark per specification and 2 marks for the list in Q24A; 1 mark per correct sub-part in Section E). Check your answers against it after you solve the paper.

How to Score Well – Tips from the 2027 Paper
- Half the paper is HTML (about 25 of 50 marks) – practise writing complete pages from a screenshot and specifications (bgcolor, heading colour, <font size>, lists, forms with radio buttons and <select>).
- Know attribute pairs exactly: src vs href (Q20 error correction), colspan, start attribute of <ol>, vlink/alink of <body>, alt of <img>, face of <font>.
- Learn protocol roles: SMTP sends mail, POP3 retrieves it, SSH gives secure remote login – Q12’s assertion is false because it swaps SMTP and POP3.
- Section E case studies are 4 × 1-mark parts on cyber ethics: online fraud precautions (never share OTP/passwords) and IPR terms – open source, copyright, trademark, plagiarism.
- Use and for formulas like H2SO4, a^2 + b^2 = c^2 and (X1, Y1) – a full 3-mark question (Q23).
- Solve the 2027 paper in one sitting with a timer, check it with the marking scheme, then solve the 2026 paper a few days later.
